Summary of the Strategic Planning Effort for the NH Council on Housing Stability
As part of the New Hampshire Council on Housing Stability’s strategic planning efforts to guide its work over the next three years, we are engaging key stakeholders and developing a work plan that aligns with the evolving housing needs across New Hampshire.
The strategic planning process includes the following key steps:
  1. Consultant Hired: Beth Saunders and Kate Harris were brought on board to facilitate the strategic planning process.
  2. Responsiveness to the Current Political Climate: The Council is ensuring its efforts align with the priorities and dynamices of the state’s political landscape.
  3. Collaboration with Partners: Efforts include evaluating the operational structure of the Council—determining the ideal meeting cadence (e.g., quarterly or monthly) and ensuring timely and effective reporting.
  4. Integration of a Policy Framework: The next strategic plan will incorporate a strong policy framework to guide the Council’s work.
  5. Presentation of Current Status: An update on progress will be shared at the January Council meeting on January 13, 2025.
The first step of this effort is a thorough assessment of the Council’s successes and challenges from its first three years of work. This will include analyzing feedback from a brief questionnaire and conducting one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders.
